Sr.Mechanical Engineer
Location: Cuddy, PA
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee control of manufacturing processes to optimize the production of thermoplastic elastomer-extruded products.
- Modify and enhance existing manufacturing processes and operational procedures for improved efficiency.
- Research and recommend new extrusion equipment for thermoplastic extrusion, curing, and cutting to enhance overall efficiency and performance.
- Modify the output of machines by designing new extrusion tooling dies for TPE TPV Extrusion using SolidWorks 3D software.
- Conduct finite element analysis and simulations for production outcome predictions.
- Optimize extrusion dies for optimal flow on single-screw extrusion machines.
- Generate innovative design concepts for anticipated future products, guide and complete concept designs in 3D, and manage drawing releases.
- Conduct research, gather technical information for material selection, and contribute to design projects.
- Implement various root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve design issues.
- Champion DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFS (Design for Serviceability) efforts during the design cycle.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships, including engineering design consultant companies and component/assembly manufacturers.
Technical Skills and Requirements:

- Experience must be in the rubber extrusion industry and include: engineering resins including EPDM, Neoprene, Nitrile, TPV, TPE, FKM, FFKM, PVC, ABS, PP, TPRs/TPOs, and PC; thermoplastic elastomers including TPE and TPVs; FEA and strength of materials; general manufacturing processes including machining, injection molding, thermoforming, extrusions, additive manufacturing, and surface treatments; 3D printing and prototyping; ANSYS; SolidWorks or equivalent per ASME Y14.5; and Ultimaker Cura.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 3 years of experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5 years of experience

Production Technician

SantopSeal Production Technicians are responsible for assembling and manufacturing sales orders, picking product from the warehouse, shipping and receiving products to customers, and maintaining a clean and safe production warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of production experience in an industrial setting (preferred).
- Able to communicate in English and interpret work instructions.
- Ability to follow technical guidelines for operating and maintaining industrial equipment.
- Ability to stand up to 8-hours a day.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Mathematically proficient.
- Basic computing skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
- Receives incoming shipments into inventory, posts in online inventory system and places items in warehouse.
- Picks and prepares items for shipping.
- Manufactures products to company, customer and manufacturer’s standards.
- Test products to confirm quality standards.
- Operates mechanical equipment.
- Assists with physical inventory.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Extrusion Line Operator

SantopSeal Production Technicians are responsible for assembling and manufacturing sales orders, picking products from the warehouse, shipping and receiving products to customers, and maintaining a clean and safe production warehouse.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, basic reading and math skills. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be sure that safety rules are followed according to Extrusion Operation Work Instructions.
- All aspects of the Extrusion Line are in proper working order prior to each start-up.
- All aspects of the job are fully understood prior to starting up.
- Line Set-up according to required Line Specification Parameters.
- Attain all Product Characteristics according to Line Specification Parameters.
- Continually Inspect Product Characteristics to ensure conformance to requirements, for variation trends, and make adjustments to prevent unnecessary nonconforming product.
- Continually Monitor Extrusion Line Process to maintain process control and prevent line interruption due to process variation.
- Ensure product is packaged according to Line Specification requirements and that product is arranged to prevent damage and/or distortion.
- Document Product/Process data as required according to the Line Specification
- Maintain Extrusion Linework area is neat and orderly.
- Effectively communicate process/product issues to supervisors and co-workers.
